Dose Rate map

Dose Rate, by definition, is the rate of exposure to aerial radiation (e.g. Exposure Rate). In practical terms it is similar to the total radiation count measured at the sensor. The natural value of the Dose Rate is around 55 nSv/Hr.

Observing the map (Figure 3-1), areas in red tones indicate regions with radiation emission above the natural average. Likewise, areas in blue tones indicate low radiation emission, but above natural radiation. Units: nSv/Hr.
